Musicologist and pianist appointed in 2017 as Special Educational Personnel in the Department of Music Science and Art, specialising in the History of Byzantine Music. After graduating from the School of Music Studies-Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (1995), she got a PhD in Historical Musicology from the Department of Music Studies-National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (2006) Author of the monograph Singers’ Choirs according to the Byzantine tradition (2008) and of the forthcoming The Byzantine Chorós. On the Historically Informed Performance of the Psaltic Art, Editura UNMB. She participates in the female Byzantine Choir “St Anysia”, conducted by Maria Alexandru. As a piano teacher and former Director of the Music School of Drama (2011-2017), she contributed to the Syllabus of Piano for Music Schools organised by the Institute of Educational Policy.

Her research focuses on Historically Informed Performance, transcribing the orality of audiovisual sources, hierotopy, Byzantine music and politics and the history of Byzantine music education.

Musicologue et pianiste nommé en 2017 comme Personnel Éducatif Spécial au Département des Sciences et des Arts de la Musique, spécialisé dans l’ Histoire de la musique byzantine. Après avoir obtenu son diplôme de l’École d’études musicales de l’Université Aristote de Thessalonique (1995), elle a obtenu un doctorat en musicologie historique du Département d’ Études Musicales de l’Université Nationale et Capodistrienne d’Athènes (2006). Auteur de la monographie Singers’ Choirs according to the Byzantine tradition  (2008) et du prochain The Byzantine Chorós. On the Historically Informed Performance of the Psaltic Art, Editura UNMB. Elle participe au chœur byzantin féminin «St Anysia», dirigé par Maria Alexandru. En tant que professeur de piano et ancienne Directrice de l’École de musique de Drama (2011-2017), elle a contribué au Syllabus de piano pour les écoles de musique organisé par l’Institut de Politique Éducative.

Ses recherches portent sur la performance historiquement informée, la transcription de l’oralité des sources audiovisuelles, la musique et la politique byzantines, l’histoire de l’éducation musicale byzantine et la hiérotopie.
