Claire Taylor Jones
Claire Taylor Jones is William Payden Associate Professor of German in the Department of German and Russian and a Fellow of the Medieval Institute at the University of Notre Dame. Jones has published three books on the devotional culture and liturgical practices of Dominican sisters in German-speaking regions of the late Middle Ages (Ruling the Spirit: Women, Liturgy, and Dominican Reform in Late Medieval Germany, Penn Press, 2018; Women's History in the Age of Reformation: Johannes Meyer's Chronicle of the Dominican Observance, PIMS, 2019; Fixing the Liturgy: Friars, Sisters, and the Dominican Rite, 1256-1516, Penn Press, 2024).
